The first piece, Masks and Votive Offerings (2009-2010), addresses Man’s need to communicate with the invisible – the Divine, by bringing together two very different traditions: African masked rituals and Greek Orthodox votive practices, as a means of dealing with our fear of death, sickness and war.
The second, Gestures (2007), explores the language of our hands, either as a complement to speech and verbal discourse, or as a language in itself.
The third, That (2007), is a video (Running time: 2 minutes and 30 seconds) dealing with our fear of the unknown, the other.
